Welcome to the introduction of "Site Participation." Like
the remainder of the site, this section is in preliminary development, though the
following interests will hold true for the whole life of Being Quest. May it endure and
perfect itself for the greatest interest and favor of us all.
Membership at Being Quest is for all those who esteem favorably the work pursued here
and who recognize something of themselves in it. The Author sincerely considers the
respectful reader to be a companion of the heart and friend to our best endeavors.
At Being Quest there is the Outer Court, the Inner Court, and the Inner Sanctum. The
Outer Court treats of three primary subjects, which are Theology, Philosophy, and Poetry.
We do not consider these realms of Being Quest to be perfectly distinct but participate,
in greater or lesser degrees, with the proper emphasis of the others. Inner Court members
are those who wish to contribute papers to the Outer Court sections and who will enjoy
message boards and real-time conversations with other Inner Court members on the topics of
the Outer Court. Contributions can presently be made but the message boards and chat
resources are not available yet. Membership at Being Quest that concerns Inner Court
participation is as follows.
"Religious Traditions" will represent what is invigorating in our
worlds many respective spiritual enterprises and insights. This section at Being
Quest will include the contributions from every tradition as an intelligent treatment of
our religious experience, creatively in terms of literary excellence or more
intellectually in philosophical discourse, though philosophy is primarily reserved for our
"Goals of Awareness" section. Being Quest will post intelligent and respectful
treatments in exposition of, or reflections upon, any tradition and their tenets where the
treatment is executed with a good measure of discipline and exceptional insight. There is
place at Being Quest for the treatment of every religious tradition and perspective, and
no contribution will be censured from being posted on the basis of that
contributions apparent conflict with another existing religious tradition. The
requirements for the Inner Court members contributions is a masterful insight and
intelligent communication of their tradition and agreement with the avowed interests of
understanding which Being Quest seeks between our many and wonderful spiritual evolutions.
"The Goals of Awareness" section at Being Quest is equally broad in accepting
the many advanced philosophical traditions of our cultures. Whatever perspective and
treatment is relevant to the evolution of personality and the integrity of our character
will be the goal of philosophy in this section, though branches of metaphysics are welcome
where practical concerns can be imported. No contribution here will be censured from being
posted on the basis of that contributions apparent conflict with another existing
philosophical tradition, Western or otherwise. Political philosophers and dissenters are
welcomed where their treatment and experience is offered in the best tradition of
intelligent analysis of our experience and social organization. Editorials are also
encouraged.
"Poetic Works" and the goal of poetry is here the exploration of the dynamism
of being and becoming in our personality and character, whether it be beauty or faith or
hope or despair. Such works will always be careful literary productions promoting
excellence in our poetic traditions. Contributions from any poetic/world tradition that
seeks the integrity of heart Being Quest espouses are solicited and welcomed, which
excellence of tradition and its advancement shall find a place at Being Quest as exemplars
of their kind.
The foregoing however is just an outline of the kinds of contributions that the Outer
Court can involve. These primary topics are merely the touchstones of emphasis for the
site and in no way limit the many particular contributions that can find worthy treatment
of here. Special topics for contributions will be posted under our "Contribution
Updates" section at Site Participation and will be periodically enlarged upon for the
consideration of members. Our recommendation for contributions to any section is merely
that the interested members consider carefully whether their offerings are consistent with
the spirit of endeavor they find in the present and projected postings. Interested members
are asked to query the Author on the appropriateness of their contributions before
submitting.
"Inner Sanctum" is where the Author and editors of the site maintain
conversations on everything that relates either to the Inner Court or to the Outer Court
section of the site, always exploring together the means and objects of our many
cultures noble aspirations. They scrutinize the submissions that are offered for the
Outer and conduct real-time conversations with Inner Court members on their particular
interests as exemplified in the three major sections of the site. The members of the Inner
Sanctum maintain particular interests in whatever is posted on the message boards for the
members of the Inner Court and seek to promote the interests that they all agree should be
the most important topics of the site offerings. This is an evolving process and will
serve to expand upon the interests of members at Being Quest.
Overall, it is the greatest affection and hope of the sites Author and Inner
Sanctum members to provide for and promote the broadest range of discussion on the most
important perspectives and aspirations of our worlds cultures. It could rightly be
said that Being Quest hopes for a Utopian society, always in quest of the greatest
understanding and sympathy among our worlds traditions in every respect, seeking the
beauty of such society as we wish here to demonstrate. May our associations deserve as
much and soon obtain better examples of our essential interests, confirming the noble
aspirations of our many cultures and those ideals in everyone of goodwill.
